About Laurie

For 20 years, Laurie has worked in the non-profit sector and with individuals to create communications & content that maximizes their resources while achieving their vision to make our world better through their own specific mission and values. With a BA in journalism and communications and a MA in interdisciplinary studies, Laurie built a well-rounded base of experience in everything from working with print publications (books, newspapers, journals) to digital writing and management (blogs, video scripts, online curriculum) to overseeing and implementing broad communications and marketing strategies. Her work has appeared in publications like USA Today, Washington Post, New York Times, Christianity Today, and Church Leaders.

“‘Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing,’ Benjamin Franklin once said. I believe all organizations and individuals have content and ideas worth sharing and worth building a legacy around. Sometimes, however, we think too small. We only see this moment. When we begin to ask, ‘How will this impact our world 5, 10, 20 years from now?’ we begin to make the common good our highest goal.”

“Laurie is practical, authentic, and clear in her ability to creatively convey important messages. She’s been a collaborator and humble leader in the decade I’ve worked with her on a variety of projects. I’d hire her in a heartbeat for any communications or editorial need!” – Mary Schaller, co-author of The 9 Arts of Spiritual Conversations; former president of Q Place; former director, Explore God Chicago

She has offered helpful advice and encouragement all along the way. It’s been a pleasure to work with her.” – Dr. Todd Poulter, author, Wycliffe leadership consultant

“In my decade of Evangelical Missions Quarterly work with Laurie, first as her supervisor and later with her as my supervisor, she consistently was crystal clear in all of her communication, excellent in editing, and concise and clear in her writing. She is an excellent–and fun–person to work with in all that she does. I offer her my highest recommendation.” – Dr. Scott Moreau, dean, Wheaton College Graduate School
